Tapeats Cave — At least half of the total flow in lower Tapeats Creek comes from Tapeats Cave. In springtime the combined flow makes the creek a dangerous obstacle.

Trails — Thunder River Trail.

Routes — The usual access is upstream through the Tapeats Creek narrows from Thunder River and up Tapeats Creek through the Shinumo narrows. Crazy Jug Creek and Saddle Canyon are other off-trail routes.

2008 October - Descend Crazy Jug from Big Saddle and downstream for a visit up this side-canyon to the cave and back.
