Rock Garden
Big Point — Adjacent to the fault alignment of Willow Canyon and Stairway Canyon, Big Point is the major topographic barrier of this region. For Esplanade hikers, the significance must not be surpassed for the physical presence and natural resources of this very-particular place. This was also an important location for early humans and was likely occupied and well-defended from entry by outsiders.

The Esplanade rim of Big Point provides rock overhang shelter and pothole water sources. This requires an excursion from the Tuckup Trail track, and for hikers is a must-find and must-stop.

Routes — Downriver to Cove Canyon; upriver to Stairway Canyon.

2018 March - Connecting Tuckup to Toroweap.
